Auvetric Data Solutions

Different specialisations.
Shared engineering thinking.

Auvetric Data Solutions is a two-partner practice based in Windhoek, Namibia. One partner engineers the systems; the other makes sure the information they produce can be trusted and used. Equal partners, different disciplines.

Jakes

Systems Engineering & Software Development

Windhoek, Namibia

Jakes is a cross-disciplinary engineer who works from the field device to the dashboard: industrial controllers and sensors, edge gateways, message brokers, backend services, ERP integrations and the operational applications people use every day.

His work centres on systems that have to keep running in real conditions — intermittent connectivity, remote sites, shift work and equipment that cannot wait for a perfect network. Offline-first applications, resilient synchronisation and practical monitoring are recurring themes.

Working philosophy · proposed profile wording

Working systems beat elegant diagrams. Design for the conditions the system will actually face, make failure visible, and keep the operator in control.

Alex

Enterprise Data, BI & Business Process Optimisation

Windhoek, Namibia

Alex brings approximately four years of business operations and retail experience, including enterprise data administration, operational reporting, commercial analytics, data integrity and multi-location business-system coordination.

That experience includes participating in enterprise retail system conversion and data-centralisation initiatives within a major Namibian FMCG retail environment — work that sits exactly where product master data, supplier information, pricing and store operations meet.

Working philosophy · proposed profile wording

A dashboard is only as trustworthy as the data underneath it. Start with where the information comes from, who owns it and how it can go wrong — then report on it.

Core competencies

Advanced data processing
Complex Excel modelling · Cross-workbook reconciliation · Barcode & SKU matching · Duplicate detection · Cost & price variance analysis
Business intelligence
Microsoft Power BI · Power Query · KPI modelling · Executive & multi-location reporting
Process automation
Power Automate · SharePoint · Microsoft 365 workflows · Approval & exception workflows
Retail & FMCG systems
Multi-store master data · Supplier & DC data flows · EDI concepts · AS400-linked information · Product hierarchy & barcode mapping
Data governance
Accuracy, completeness, consistency · Uniqueness, validity, timeliness · Lineage & source ownership · Audit trails & exception management
Commercial analytics
Gross profit & margin variance · Promotional profitability · Supplier claims · Stock movement, waste & shrinkage

Currently developing

SQL · Python & Pandas · Advanced DAX · Data engineering · API integration · Dataverse · Power Apps · AI Builder · Copilot Studio

Why two disciplines.

Most technology projects fail at the join: software that captures data nobody validated, or reports built on data nobody understood at source.

We understand the whole information lifecycle — how data originates in machines, people and enterprise systems; how it moves between platforms; how inconsistencies undermine decisions; and how software, automation and reporting can fix that.

That intersection is what we offer: one team that can build the system and stand behind the numbers it produces.

Let’s build something that works.

Whether you need a custom application, better visibility into your data, connected operational systems, or a practical automation strategy, we can help define the right solution.
